Looking after our environment and all its little creatures is important to us
We want our little ones, and yours, to grow up with a healthy planet.
We seek to minimise our impact on the environment through every decision, including sourcing local ingredients and choosing compostable and recyclable packaging. 1c from every product sold goes towards supporting Australia’s wildlife.
Recyclable and compostable packaging
Our bowls are made from reclaimed and rapidly renewable sugarcane pulp, and are compostable and home-recyclable.
Our delivery boxes (from Chilltainer) are made from 95% sustainable paper fibre and are home recyclable. Our meal sleeves are home recyclable and our food pouches are recyclable through your local soft plastics recycling program.
Most importantly, we minimise packaging by providing products in larger pouches (no individual packaging), and avoiding additional outer wraps.
Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability
Audrey and Alfie is 100% Australian made and owned.
We make ethical food choices that reduce food miles, and support humane and sustainable farming practices. Wherever possible, we choose Victorian or Australian ingredients, and use organic suppliers where we can. Our beef is grass fed and our meat and eggs are free range.
Helping Australia’s Wildlife
We recognise that looking after the environment (and particularly, our wonderful Australian wildlife) needs more than just recyclable packaging. That’s why we choose to donate 1c from every product sold to Bush Heritage Australia, a leading not-for-profit conservation organisation that protects ecosystems and wildlife across Australia.
Australian Wildlife facing threats to survival are also featured on our packaging, to help raise community awareness and support for these unique and wonderful animals.
